What Is Westwood Plateau Like for Wedding Photos?
Tommy’s Thoughts: The chandeliers are why I’d send a couple here. They hang across most of the top floor, under high vaulted ceilings with wood beams and string lights. I haven’t seen many venues in the Lower Mainland that look like this. The room feels grand on its own, so you don’t have to add much.
It works day or night. During the day, the floor to ceiling windows fill the space with light. Once it’s dark, the chandeliers and string lights take over. Not many venues put this much thought into their lighting, and you can really see it in the photos.
After 2:30 pm, the space is all yours. That’s when we do bridal portraits under the chandeliers, by the tall windows, and on the staircase, with nobody else around.
My favourite spot is out on the golf course, where a helicopter can land. It’s quiet and private, and you get there by golf cart. The ride out is one of the fun parts of the day, and it’s a beautiful place for sunset photos.
The ceremony space is close to the entrance and pretty roomy. It sits a bit away from the course, so it’s quieter and you won’t get many people walking by.
Heads-up: The wedding golf cart only runs in the summer season, and only staff can drive it. Plan your sunset trip with the events team ahead of time.
How Much Does a Wedding at Westwood Plateau Cost?
The bill has two parts: a ceremony fee, then a price per guest for the reception.
Ceremony fee: $1,200 with a reception. A ceremony only (no reception) is $1,500 and has to happen before 1:00 pm. A Gallery Room ceremony from January to March is $2,000.

Every room is priced the same, so your guest count just decides which room you’re in. From January to March, Saturdays drop to $120. Kids 5 and under are free.
On top of that you’ll pay an 18% service charge on food and drinks, 5% GST, a 10% liquor tax on alcohol, and an extra $5 per guest on statutory holidays.

What’s Included?
More than most couples expect. You get a rehearsal, a day-of coordinator, chair set up and take down, use of the grounds for photos, tables, linens, dishes, service staff, a projector and screen, a wireless mic and podium, and dinner for every guest. Cocktail hour comes with three passed canapes per guest and non-alcoholic punch. The one thing you’ll need to bring is your own officiant.
What Rules Catch Couples Off Guard?
- Food and drinks: Everything comes from the venue. Only cake, cupcakes, donuts, and favors can come from outside. Outside alcohol is fined $150 per bottle or can, parking lot included.
- Bar: You pick one bar type. If a cash or host bar doesn’t reach $300, there’s a $20 per hour bartender fee (four hour minimum).
- Send-offs: No sparklers, fireworks, confetti, rice, glitter, or wish lanterns. Candles only inside a holder.
- Overtime: Guests and vendors leave on time, or it’s $250 per hour plus tax.
- Rain: The venue makes the final call on moving an outdoor ceremony inside, not you.
- Holidays: The clubhouse is fully decorated for Christmas from November 15 to January 7.
How Do the Deposit and Cancellation Work?
- At booking: $1,500 non-refundable deposit, which goes toward your final bill.
- 30 days before: 50% of the estimated invoice is due.
- 14 days before: final guest count and the rest of the payment are due.
- Cancelling 180 days or less out: you lose the deposit plus 25% of the estimate. At 30 days or less, it’s the deposit plus 50% or $1,500, whichever is higher.
