From our very first meeting, we knew you were special. Your passion for photography was obvious, and your deep care for capturing people’s most special moments stood out. You specifically asked us what the most meaningful photo would be for us. We shared that we wanted to capture the once-in-a-lifetime interactions between our loved ones who were going to fly in from all over the world. We also talked about our deep love for our dog, the BC forests, the cherry blossoms… ALL of which you made sure to gift to us.

What makes Tommy stand out is his attention to his clients’ dreams and personalities. He respects and helps design people’s ideal photos. He understands that these are going to be looked at for years to come. We expected to have a few ‘wall-worthy’ photos, but ended up with 181 photos that met this criteria. Furthermore, Tommy wore many hats on our special day, graciously stepping in to help with vendor coordination, decoration, etc., which was so above our expectations but deeply appreciated. It brings tears to our eyes thinking about it. He even sneakily shot a few sentimental videos, like our first look, which was a total surprise.

Our guests really enjoyed Tommy. The bride’s father, who is camera shy, called him a gentle perfectionist. One friend called him very talented. All were stunned and impressed when the final photos were released a mere few days after the event.

We are incredibly grateful to have had Tommy as our wedding photographer. From the very beginning, he was proactive in communicating with us to understand our needs and preferences. Before the big day, Tommy designed a thoughtful engagement session for us, which helped us get comfortable in front of the camera and turned out to be such a memorable experience. We were set to have a small and intimate ceremony for our wedding, with just us and our witnesses. All we wanted were the memories. Boy did Tommy deliver.

We highly recommend Kind Photos YVR as your wedding or pre-wedding photographer. It was an absolute pleasure working with Tommy—he's the most fantastic and professional photographer. We had an amazing time during our pre-wedding photoshoot over the weekend. Tommy spent nearly an hour consulting with us to understand our vision and preferences. As it was our first time taking wedding photos, we had no clear idea about the venue or timing. Tommy expertly guided us in imagining our perfect setting.

My partner and I had different ideas—having grown up in a city by the sea, he envisioned our dream portrait at a dock with a sea view, while I preferred a grassy field surrounded by bubbles. Tommy skillfully combined our visions and found the perfect location that satisfied both of us. The photos turned out incredible!

On the day of the shoot, Tommy arrived early to scout the site and even discovered some hidden spots just for us, an effort we truly appreciated! My girlfriend and I had such an incredible experience throughout our cherry blossom shoot with Tommy! From our first briefing call until the gallery delivery, Tommy had excellent communication and a friendly professionalism that made us feel at ease. The briefing call was productive, and he asked thoughtful questions which helped clarify our vision of the shoot, and the types of moments we wanted to capture.

On the day of the shoot, he immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed with his warm personality. He gave us some posing tips in the beginning, then let us experiment and have fun in front of the camera. He did a fantastic job of letting us be spontaneous, while also giving direction to help bring out the best in our poses and the location. All while maintaining an atmosphere of fun and instinctive action, instead of causing us to stiffly follow direction

It was a joy seeing Tommy’s experience show in real time. He efficiently assessed the lighting and our positioning in each location, took a few quick test shots, and made adjustments to bring out the best of each location. His control over depth of field made every shot varied and interesting, while also keeping us in focus and well lit the entire time

Tommy was amazing to work with. We had an anniversary session (9 years married) and wanted to get back into our wedding clothes, he not only thought it was a great idea but helped us make our vision a reality!

He took us to do a Cherry Blossom shoot in one of the most magical corners I've seen in Vancouver. A mix of nature, architecture, texture and color, made the place look surreal. He was great at giving us suggestions for poses, angles and understood perfectly what we wanted and how to achieve it.

Communication was great and he really seems like an amazing person. I've always believed you need to be comfortable in front of a camera, and he made sure of that. At some point, you forget this is a photo shoot since you are having so much fun and in the end, you come out with such great memories in the form of very artsy, romantic and whimsical photos. His style is what we were looking for and I would definitely have him a our photographer again.
