The Feeling of Hycroft Manor
Hycroft sits in Vancouver’s First Shaughnessy neighborhood surrounded by old trees and quiet streets. Inside, you’ll find tall white columns, chandeliers that glow softly, and rooms filled with natural light.
The Ballroom feels grand. The Drawing Room feels romantic. The Green Solarium is probably my favorite room. It has a unique vibe with green tiled walls that cover the entire space and stained-glass ceilings with beautiful arched windows that look like they’re from another place.
Outside, there are terraces, gardens, and views that shift with every season. You can walk from room to room and it all just flows. It’s one of those rare places that looks beautiful no matter where you stand.

Every couple I photograph here says this place is stunning. It’s a one-of-a-kind, unique experience that’s not like anywhere else. For couples who want to have a wedding that feels like it’s somewhere far away in Europe without the cost or complexities of planning a destination wedding, this is the perfect location. It offers the aesthetics of a wedding that doesn’t feel like it’s in Vancouver.
You can say your vows in the Rose Garden, enjoy cocktails on the Terrace, and have dinner under glowing chandeliers. It all feels effortless and natural. Because the venue already has so much character, you really don’t need much decoration to make this place beautiful. It’s already so elegant with its own unique vibe. You might just want to add some flowers and that’s all it needs.
Fall Weddings at Hycroft
If you’re thinking about a fall wedding, Hycroft is one of the best places in Vancouver. The Japanese Maple in the Rose Garden is just stunning. Even the Terrace is sheltered from the rain, so even if it rains, it’s still beautiful in its own way.
Fall sunsets a little bit earlier, which is great because you’ll be able to get some dreamy sunset photos around 6:00 p.m.
Capacity and Comfort
Hycroft works best for intimate to mid-sized weddings with up to 100 guests.
Ceremony options: Rose Garden, Terrace, or Drawing Room
Dinner spaces: Ballroom (up to 100), Drawing Room (up to 50), Terrace (up to 100 in summer)
The main floor is accessible, and there’s a lift to the Ballroom level. Parking is limited but easy to manage with carpools or shuttles. Events finish by 11 p.m. to keep the peaceful atmosphere for the neighborhood.
The Cost of a Hycroft Wedding
Here’s a general idea for 2026 weddings:

There’s a minimum food and beverage spend of $9,775, handled by the University Women’s Club team.

Music wraps up at 11 p.m., and a day-of coordinator is required. I always recommend having one because it makes the day so much easier and lets you just enjoy every moment.
Engagement or Pre-Wedding Sessions
If you’re not planning your full wedding here, Hycroft still makes an amazing location for engagement or pre-wedding photos. It’s perfect for couples who want something timeless and meaningful that doesn’t look like anywhere else in Vancouver without having to pay the premium price of traveling to photograph in such locations.
These sessions are typically done on weekdays and for shorter periods of time.
The rental fee is $750 for two hours, with extra time at $275 per hour. You’ll have access to the Solarium, Drawing Room, Terrace, and Gardens. Each space has a different kind of beauty and light.
