Winter Magic for a Pregnancy Announcement
Aman was one of my very first clients, and getting to photograph her again for something this meaningful felt extra special. She and Seamus are the kind of couple that bring warmth with them wherever they go. So when they asked me to capture their pregnancy announcement, I said yes without hesitation.
Snowy Session at Dude Chilling Park
We met at Dude Chilling Park in Mount Pleasant, a spot close to their hearts and just a short walk from Level V Bakery. Fresh snow had just fallen after New Year’s, and the whole park looked like something out of a postcard. It felt quiet and cozy, like the city paused just for them.
Simple Touches That Say Everything
They came prepared with small but meaningful details. New toques that read Mom and Dad. A sonogram photo. And the way they looked at each other said it all. It was one of those sessions where the emotion carries the story.
How to Make a Short Winter Session Work
Winter maternity sessions don’t need to be long to be beautiful. This one lasted under 30 minutes. Here’s what helped make it meaningful:
Layer up and wear what makes you feel good. Soft textures always look great in snow.
Keep it personal. Bring something small that matters to you.
Let yourself enjoy the moment. It always shows in the photos.
Thinking of Sharing Your News? Add a Video
We ended the shoot with a short video announcement. A few candid clips made the moment feel even more real and helped them share the news in their own way.
Let’s Plan Something That Feels Like You
Aman and Seamus reminded me that the most important photos come from genuine connection. If you’re planning a pregnancy announcement, maternity session, or anything in between, I’d love to help make it feel real, relaxed, and full of heart.
Reach out and let’s make something beautiful together.
