Getting ready at Sarah’s father’s home
We started the day at her dad’s peaceful Jericho house where Marco got ready with his family and closest friends. The home sat beside a forest so lush it reminded me of UBC Botanical Garden. You could feel the energy in the room. For some of Marco’s friends this was their first time visiting Vancouver.
Sarah’s bridal prep at Van Dusen
Over at the venue Sarah was getting ready in a quiet garden room with string lights glowing in the background. Some of my favorite photos of the day came from this space. Bridesmaids helping with the final touches soft light pouring in and those quiet moments before it all begins.
Father daughter reveal and the first look
Her dad seeing her in her dress for the first time was such a touching moment shared with her mom and brother. Then came the first look. Marco waited under a beautiful tree as Sarah approached him back to back with eyes closed. The emotion in that moment is exactly why I love first looks. Especially in a setting like this.
Family portraits and a heartfelt ceremony
We moved into group photos explored the gardens for portraits and then settled in for a ceremony filled with meaning. Their vows told the story of how they came together and everything they built. It was real and beautiful.
Sparklers and dance floor joy
The reception had everything. Warm speeches fun games and nonstop laughter. We ended the night with a sparkler photo that was so fun to set up. After that the dance floor lit up with the bride and groom surrounded by everyone who loves them.
